Electric Rotary Drum Furnace for Heat Treatment

The furnace is designed for the heat treatment of various small mechanical parts, including gas carburizing and quenching, carbonitriding, tempering, and annealing. Its primary application is the gas carburizing, carbonitriding, and bright quenching of small components such as bicycle parts, sewing machine parts, standard fasteners, bearing steel balls, and rollers.

This rotary electric resistance furnace comprises a rotating drum, furnace shell, furnace lining, furnace frame, drum drive mechanism, liquid drip system, and associated components.

The rotating drum (or retort) is an octagonal vessel. The liquid medium is introduced from the rear end, while waste gas is discharged from the front end, where it is ignited to form a flame seal.

The exhaust port is equipped with an adjustable cap that allows regulation of the pressure inside the retort.

Workpieces are loaded into and discharged from the front end of the retort. The retort rotates continuously in a fixed clockwise direction, and its rotational speed is infinitely variable. The speed can be adjusted according to the shape, dimensions, and high-temperature characteristics of the workpieces being processed.
