Safety protection of heat treatment equipment

(1) Establish and implement electrical safety regulations for equipment use, including interlocking of furnace door opening, grounding of furnace shell, protection against electric shock, shielding of high-frequency equipment, leakage protection against high-voltage electricity, and protection of control cabinets, to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment. Insulated labor measures and protective equipment should be provided at production operation sites.

 

(2) Fuel furnaces and controlled atmosphere furnaces should be explosion-proof, including preventing backfire and flameout of gas and controlled atmosphere, preventing leakage of gas and controlled atmosphere, preventing explosions caused by improper exhaust process operation of controlled atmosphere furnaces, and preventing accidental ignition and explosion of residual combustible atmosphere in controlled atmosphere furnaces and gas furnaces after shutdown. Appropriate control devices should be established for this purpose.

 

(3) Prevent burns and scalds during high-temperature operations and provide necessary labor protection equipment.

 

(4) Prevent direct harm to operators from the early handling, transportation, and use of hazardous materials, as well as from the harmful reaction products of materials, by establishing corresponding operating and storage procedures.

 

(5) Prevent direct harm from dust generated during processes such as sandblasting. Equipment should be sealed and equipped with ventilation and dust removal systems.

 

(6) Reduce workshop noise by implementing sound absorption and insulation measures.

 

(7) Prevent workshop fires. The quenching oil in the workshop should have a cooling oil circulation system, emergency oil draining measures, and fire prevention measures. The placement, pipeline, and valve reliability of flammable materials such as hydrogen, acetylene, propane, and butane should all meet requirements.

 

(8) The workshop building should meet the requirements for a heat processing workshop, providing fire resistance, good ventilation, and heating conditions to maintain a suitable temperature.

 

(9) The workshop lighting should have sufficient intensity to facilitate worker operations and reduce operational errors and accidents.
